I wondered why my students were a bit off the wall this week. Perhaps this full moon was part of the problem. I hope my "old" class comes back on Monday.
Even though all these pictures were taken exactly on the day posted, all were taken the week of the 9th. And for me, that's okay.

Even though it wasn't quite Valentines' Day (and even though we really didn't have school on this day), the kids had a party in the afternoon. The room parents were very creative, having the kids make candy IPODS for their craft. Each child had their own box which they had decorated. Each one went home with their box overflowing with those little Valentines, candy, and love from each other.

I have my students doing a technology/math project this week. They are looking for shapes around the school. Each group of three was set out for 1/2 hour to find shapes we studied in this chapter Then they had to bring their cameras back and I had to download them to one person's H drive. I didn't realize how stressful this would be. Next week we should finish this in two days. Done. Finito.I love doing projects but they do take time.

My last Hershey Hotel picture. Each evening the Hershey characters would show up in the lobby. What I liked about KitKat is that s/he showed up with CHAMPAGNE! Before I went in to see the chocolate diamonds in the jewelry store, there was a glass handed to me. What a wonderful way to start the evening.

Before leaving the Hotel Hershey I had to take a picture of the dining room. Mr. Hershey made a ROUND dining room so no one could ask for a "corner" table. This room, though, is another dining room. It is very Spanish looking and gives the feeling of being outdoors. A piano player can be found playing in the afternoon.

There are so many pictures I could pick for today, but am choosing the collage I made. When I first registered, I was given so many things it was overwhelming. Once I got set up in my room at the Hotel Hershey, I put everything out so I could see it. Boy...talk about a mini-vacation. I checked in, went to the spa for a body scrub (not great), went back to the room, walked around the hotel grounds, back to the spa for a facial (VERY GOOD), got dressed for dinner, went to the outlets and bought one thing at Chicos, then to PNC to get money for dinner. Met Dr. Anne Thorpe from MI and gave her a ride to the Bear's Den where we all had dinner...and I got my chocolate martini...and a great time with all the DEN and PLURK people we could round up. Thanks to Discovery for picking up the tab as well. No one ever does that for teachers. Went back to the room and watched a really great movie on TNT and finally fell asleep around one. Not a great sleep but I was in a hotel so did I care? I'd love to go back to town in the fall or spring...it must be beautiful.
